Code Pie is a band full of ideas. Love Meets Rage is reminiscent of Yo La Tengo or the poppier side of K Records (LAKE, Nicholas Krgovich, et al). As their fearless label, Flagless Records, puts it on their site, Code Pie represent “unconditional idealism and irrational sentimentality.” It’s tough to pick a favourite off this record. You can leave and come back to it again and again and marvel at the production and the flourishing hyperactive minds that have put this whole thing together.
