I saw Sheer Agony play on Wednesday at the Halifax Yeggerbomb thing at Wunderbar. They were ultra dope. I returned home to dig up this new 7″ of theirs off bandcamp. I was immediately blown away by how delightfully James Mercer-esque these recordings are. They’re bursting with light and lo-fi ecstasies. The B-Side takes a bit more of a turn for the cold surf joys indicative of the frigid Atlantic’s Halifax wave from where this outfit hails. Based out of Montreal now, you will recognize some of the members as the progenitors behind the equally pleasurable Play Guitar and Silver Dapple. Taken all together, these nine minutes of future rock are a thorough joy. Catch:
