I don’t know what to say about this record. I don’t know anything about who this is but it says he is from Edmonton. Nevertheless, this record speaks for itself. The opener, “Weekends,” is definitely the crowd pleaser with it’s kitschy keyboard funk and Sean Nicholas Savage redolence but endearing crooners like “Hearts Beating” and uke jams like “Sleep Now” betray Black Lights’ appreciation of The Magnetic Fields. Your correspondent will try his best to track down this fellow and hopefully it won’t be too long until our readers can enjoy his lights live.
